First Marvin drew a spiral, not knowing what he was going to do with it or where it would lead. The spiral became a creature in its shell, the shell was in water with a boat and a mermaid, but then the water gave birth to earth...little shacks in the snow, a man on a walkabout in the mountains, a dragon takes flight. The sky is filled with black birds.
