From the time Marvin was a little boy, he had the most astonishing imagination. His dream life was nearly as important to him as his waking life, and his ability to remember his dreams grew stronger when he began to make a living with his art. He said it was "part of his job" to remember his often epic dreams, which were amazing in their full character definition and plot development. The visions came later in his life... Marvin seemed more "tuned in" than most, and was able to express these visions in his block prints.
